On 30th January 2024 our pupils took part in a Wheelchair Basketball session.  They were superb! 

Every pupil who came down to the 2 sessions really gave it their all and fully invested themselves into the sport. Having an opportunity like this was a great experience for our school, it showed how sport can become inclusive for all and the coaches from Hammerhead were excellent in getting this point across. It was also lovely in the days leading up to the event for pupils to want to ask more questions about Inclusivity sport and understand you can be able bodied and still play these inclusive games.

We had some very positive feedback after the sessions for our Talk About pupils, it was very nice to hear such positive feedback after the session as well as pure enjoyment throughout the activities. We are hoping that in the future from this success we can get the coaches back into widespread these sessions to other areas of the school.

Thank You also to the staff who came and joined in with the session, it looked like you had just as much fun as the pupils.
