RAF Typhoon Art Project

As part of his Product Design GCSE, Max has worked really hard over the past term creating this amazing scale replica of an RAF Typhoon fighter jet.  It has been made from layered timber, filler and features a vacuum formed acrylic canopy.  It also features 3D printed missiles and fuel tanks.  Afterburners feature at the back (‘Max Reheat’…).  The final finish was applied using spray paint.  It has even caught the attention of RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire – the home of the 3(F) Typhoon Squadron ‘Quick Reaction Alert’ force.  These pilots take to the air at a moment’s notice to intercept any perceived threats to the country.  Perhaps they’re short of a plane??  Max’s efforts are proudly displayed on RAF Coningsby’s Facebook and Instagram pages – his work is reaching a very wide audience.  Max’s work was passed to the pilots of this squadron who are very impressed with this tribute to them.

Max went full throttle with this project and locked on to his target of a great product.  His maverick abilities and skill piloted him through a great project.  There was positive-G twists and turns along the way.  All-in-all he has landed a great project.  (Apologies).
